DRC 2018: Hidden Worlds

BrianGoma 2018

I came to the Congo with Hidden Worlds. Hidden Worlds is a collective that has way of working which evolved from volunteering and tourism in developing countries to something new. The old model is tried and true and I was excited to be part of it but this new way they work has taken it to the next level for me. The ethos of the original model was built around identifying a place that had been marginalized, located in economic empowerment zones adjacent to state or national parks in Africa like the Bwindi Impenetrable forest and other similar areas. Their new philosophy targets similar geographical areas and is purpose built immersive travel itineraries to work with people like me who have identified a desire to make a difference in a way that helps guide people along the rough road of making good decisions while helping people. Photo: Lake Kivu DRC. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. Brian
